Jood Alharthi is currently doing her Masters of Law at SOAS University in London. She graduated from Swansea University in the United Kingdom with a Bachelor of Laws. During her graduation, Jood was rewarded as a “Student Success Story” for her hard work and achievements. Arab News published an article naming her a “Role Model for Scholarship Students”.

Jood has always been fascinated by Law’s ability to regulate and govern society, as well as the scale it influences individual lives and the community as a whole. Her professional interests vary from commercial law to international law. She has gained an all rounded understating of Law during her internships. Jood became well acquainted with corporate and company law from her work-experience at Simmions & Simmions and Clyde & Co. in Dubai, and Baker & McKenzie in Riyadh. She has also enhanced her international legal perspective during her work-experience at California Federal Court-Judge Phillips Chambers and with the UN Development Programme Department in Riyadh.

These different legal roles have strengthened Jood’s belief that she can support the ambitious youth and her country with her experiences. Law goes hand-in-hand with the positive vision for creating a market of opportunities and ensuring local progress. She aims to utilize her knowledge in guaranteeing that the power of law is celebrated in serving community growth.

Furthermore, Jood is a huge advocate for books and writing. She can mostly be found by the fictional novels shelf in bookshops, and constantly writing fictional pieces of her own. Bits of her writings are published every month in Perle magazine. Likewise, she uses her love of writing to contribute to local growth by writing on monthly basis for the Organization of Tasamy for Social Entrepreneurship in Destination Riyadh magazine. In these published articles Jood encourages innovative social businesses as a major tool to conquering social issues and sheds light on the impact of individual’s good intentions once conveyed through sustainable projects and businesses.
